Amie practices primarily in the area of family law including child support, child custody, child protection, and divorce. Amie was born and raised in Belgrade, Minnesota and grew up on a hobby farm. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with Bachelor's degrees in Social Studies Teaching and History and she was licensed in Minnesota to teach Social Studies in grades 5-12. She attended the University of North Dakota School of Law. Amie has been with the firm since 2010.
Amie is a member of the Lincoln-Lyon County Bar Association, the 9th District Bar Association, and is currently on the board of Central Minnesota Legal Services. She is a former treasurer and president of the 9th District Bar Association. Amie was appointed and served on the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Juvenile Protection, Adoption, and Guardian ad Litem Procedure for one term.
Amie is committed to giving back to the community. She was previously on the United Way of Southwest Minnesota Board of Directors (and a former board chair) and is a past recipient of an Outstanding Service Award from Central Minnesota Legal Services Volunteer Attorney Program. She teaches Sunday School for 3-6 years olds with her husband and is the current president of her church's council. Amie has recently found herself helping coach youth basketball.
Amie lives in Minnesota with her husband and their four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and cooking.
