Barb
practices exclusively in the area of family law, wills and probate
administration. Barb was born and raised in the city of Marshall and graduated
from Hamline University with Honors in 1976. She obtained her law degree from
William Mitchell College of Law in 1980.
Barb is a member of the Lincoln-Lyon County Bar Association, Ninth District Bar
Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, and American Bar Association. She
has also served on the Judicial Merit Selection Committee and Minnesota State
Board of Law Examiners. She has authored the following Minnesota CLE
publications entitled "Rural Tax Returns" and "Farm Divorce Issues"
She has been involved in local activities such as Marshall Chamber of Commerce
where she served as President; League of Women Voters and Prairie Home Hospice.
She is also a frequent speaker in the area of family law in education courses
for attorneys. She has served as Chair for the Minnesota State Bar Association
Family Law Section, and continues to be actively involved in this Association.
The American Research Corporation Survey listed Barb as a leading Minnesota
attorney in the family law area. She has received the highest rating allocated
by Martindale Hubbell
